Meals for Homebound Seniors
Grace Community Kitchen
Help prepare and deliver meals to homebound seniors in the Springfield area who can't cook for themselves.
Overnight volunteers urgently needed at our emergency shelter to ensure safety and provide basic support to guests.
Harbor of Hope Emergency Shelter provides overnight shelter for up to 80 individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We are critically short on overnight volunteers and need help immediately.
Without enough overnight volunteers, we may be forced to reduce capacity, turning people away into the cold. We need volunteers every night of the week, especially Thursday through Sunday.
Overnight volunteers help with evening check-in, monitor the sleeping area, prepare simple snacks, and ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. You'll work alongside at least one paid staff member at all times.
All volunteers receive a 2-hour orientation covering de-escalation techniques, emergency procedures, and shelter policies. Training sessions are offered weekly.
We'll connect you with Harbor of Hope Emergency Shelter.
